With so many organizations that are in existence for a long time in Goa, these organizations are passionately and sincerely handling the challenges in animal welfare and rights, thereby serving the cause of the street animals, contributing to the creation of a compassionate society that treats the animals as equal and respects the existence of animals on earth.
Objective of the Societies shall be as under
- Rendering of veterinary assistance to sick and injured animal with help of infirmaries and animal shelter
- Promotion of animal welfare generally for the purpose of preventing of cruelty and for protecting animals from being subjected to unnecessary pain or suffering, in particular when they are being transported or when they are used as performing animal or when kept in captivity or confinement
